The first woman assigned to fly in the 355th Fighter Squadron, Curran is slated to perform in her home state at the 2019 Milwaukee Air & Water Show, July 27th – 28th. Curran originally hails from Medford, WI, where a childhood spent outdoors inspired her pursuits and ambitions. She cites her father as her biggest inspiration, perhaps because he’s “a thrill seeker…I like to think I take after him,” Curran said in an interview with the U.S. Department of Defense. Curran’s call sign is “Mace” and she flies Thunderbird No. 6 as an Opposing Solo Pilot. “I can’t say enough about her,” said Paul Rogers, Founder & President of the Milwaukee Air and Water Show. “She’s an incredible addition to the Thunderbirds’ already-talented team.
